The obelisk, the finest example of Egyptian architecture! An obelisk is a tall, four-sided, narrow tapering monument which ends in a pyramid-like shape or pyramidion at the top. Originally they were called Tekhenu by their builders, the ancient Egyptians. However, the Greeks who saw them used the Greek term 'obeliskos' to describe them, and this word passed into Latin and ultimately English. In ancient Egyptian religion, the obelisk symbolized the sun god Ra, and during the religious reformation of Akhenaten it was said to have been a petrified ray of the Aten, the sundisk. It was also thought that the god existed within the structure; and for this reason, its figurines were used by the Egyptians for healing, guidance, activation, cleansing, embodiment, enlightenment and more. The ancient Egyptians believed in the power of the obelisks so much to the point that they were placing them in pairs at the entrance of their temples, to ward off all kinds of evil, spread blessings and peace. Obelisk figurines were also found in Pharaohs tombs and sarcophagi, which were made specifically to protect their souls from the dangers of the Duat, or underworld. This powerful and mystical structure was also used as a tool for divination, all kinds of readings, cord cutting, past life regression, channeling, rituals, ceremonies, mediations and much more! This unique obelisk is 100% masterfully handmade in Egypt and has been activated in Luxor city!
